Living Markers is a free site for exploring historic markers, and we keep privacy simple: no accounts to create, no forms, nothing to buy, no ads — and we never sell your information.

Like most websites, we use Google Analytics to see which pages are popular, in aggregate, so we can improve the site — we never see who you are. Prefer not to be counted? You can opt out with Google's browser add-on or block cookies in your browser.

The maps and films are provided by Google Maps and YouTube, which operate under Google's privacy policy just as they do across the web. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced embeds, which hold off on cookies until you press play.
